---- Boring 'story of how it happened', you can skip---
Hey guys, its been a few years since I have posted here, and I hate to just leech for advice, but I recently started playing again and already ran into some trouble; I have ordered a Flatline and double trigger package for my 98c, so i figured i would learn how to take it apart now, so i could hope right into putting stuff on when it came via UPS. So the other night I sat in my room, door closed so no disturbances would come in. Long story short, I put it back together, no problem. Then I figured I should try it out; make sure it’s all-cool. So i started shooting, no real problems, excluding the fact I forgot to turn the velocity back up. But I start shooting and decided I would paint the wheel-barrel so I tipped it on its side and shot away. As I was shooting I thought I saw two balls come out at once, figured It just burst in air maybe (which still isn’t good, but whatever) but I kept shooting and it happened a few more times, so I went right up close, and realized it was shooting two balls at once. It shot the ball before that, and shot after just fine, just one time out of nowhere it would shoot two at a time, both going a 'normal' speed... So, what do you think I did? ---Summarized problem for people who didn’t want to read-- Tippmann 98 custom shoots out two balls at once, shoots the shot I fire before that, both come out fast, doesn’t 'dribble' out. |

You're probably missing your ball stop, you can call Tippmann and get a new one.

Right on the money. To make things a little easier Tippmann calls it a Ball Latch. Other possible causes are a bad sear or drive spring but it sounds like you are just having two balls feed rather then multiple shots fired. Good luck! |

Its most likely the ball latch. Just call Tippmann, or go to your nearest shop and theyll have it.
