Hello,

I've had a 98 custom with flatline, AR100 clip (decoration), and the car-15 stock for about 2 years now and frankly havent used a better gun. However, just recently (past two months, maybe more) my velocity has slowly been dropping. Before, I would hardly ever have to adjust the velocity from the lowest setting to get 280+ feet per second, however, now i have the velocity screw sticking out half an inch (or less) from the gun and barely make 250 fps. The only modifications ive made to my gun are replacing the screws (for the bottomline and foregrip only). I shoot midnight paint and the gun is still as accurate as when i got it. I keep my gun spotless, I clean it after everygame and when I dont play once every 2 months. Any help?

If it was colder the time you couldnt get it up, thats whats causing it. When its colder you get less pressure meaning lower velocity and the velocity screw may not help.

Replace the hammer spring!!! The old one has gotten soft and the hammer is no longer striking the valve pin hard enough to release the full gas charge.
