I have my A-5 in at the place I purchased it at (Marker is 30 days old).  They have had it a week now, and expect to have it for another two before they can look at it as they're "backed up".

The plug at the back which holds the spring and pin has given way due to a weak washer (I'm guessing), causing the plug, pin and spring to shoot backwards, striking me in the face. Luckily, I always use a face mask when operating any paintball gun, so I wasn't injured.

Should I be causing a fuss?  I didn't join this sport to be benched for such extended periods of time!

Frankly, I'm pissed!  Should I be expecting better, or is this the norm for this sport?  Because if it is, it's ashame as this is truly a great sport!

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Chris.

A snapring?  That is the key ring type washer?

Because after looking at it, it doesn't look to be damaged?  Could the actual plug be defective?  Possibly not holding the "snapring" properly?

Did you call Tippmann?
As for being benched. Rent a gun and keep on trucking. Yeah it sucks but you have to deal.

You could buy a mod stock. That would solve the problem also.

I do intend on purchasing a "mod stock"; however, I don't plan on purchasing one until mid-summer.

I'm wondering whether anyone has had any problems like this?

Tippmann has still not returned my calls.
