Cross bow that fires paintballs

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

I found someone who's done it. Their design was almost exactly like mod98commando's exept there was only about half the barrel, he said it made it easier to string it, but it shoots about 75 to 85 feet (a little further than I expected) and shoots straight, acuretly, and quiet. I'm deffinately going to make one now. Thanks for all the input and ideas.

As long as the ball leaves at the same velocity as a paintball gun you will get the same range, assuming you have a barrel long enough to stabilize the ball's flight path. The barrel should be at least 8 inches or else it will most likely have accuracy problems and it might even lose some range. It would be a great weapon though. It's VERY quiet compared to a gun, doesn't require air to operate, and it should have about the same range and accuracy. The only downside is not being able to shoot fast if you get into a heated battle but other than that you have a very good weapon, especially for scenarios where ambushes and surprise attacks are more common. I would definitely hit the field with one of those if I had one.

The stock barrel will be long enough to do the job but it's not a great barrel. If possible, try to get a J&J ceramic or lapco bigshot on there so you have better accuracy. I suggest those because they're cheap and they perform well too.

I've always wanted to be told be an illiterate person that my idea is stupid and pointless. And yes, I would use a crossbow to play paintball with. So you go play with your flatline and mutter incomprehensable statements while the rest of us have fun playing with a cossbow.

If you look at the slingshots, they fire paint plenty fast enough and it does not have a barrel. I think that the simplest design would be a slingshot with a stock.

i think a wrist rocket would work fine for close ranges with a .40 caliber paintball for longer range not sure ill have to think about it
