Meh, not really. They give you better consistancy which gives you better shot-to-shot accuracy. But it will not inprove what your barrel cant already accomplish.

They help you not waste CO2 and help you not shoot "hot" after your tank warms up. Shooting "hot" means over 300 fps, and you should make sure you're not.

yea x chambers only help in keeping the velocity constant...just like a 3 way on a cocker!
