I just started paitnballing about 5 months ago, and my first gun was a 98 custom 3-D seclusion or w/e the camo one is called. Right after i got it i bought a flatline. I was all hyped up and teh first teim out it chopped liek a blender. Took it home cleaned it good, tried again. Little better this tiem but nwo i went out and bought a rubber amllet and installed it perfectly. and it still chopped. I haev been installing it perfect ever since i know it and it still chops like theres no tomorrow. One thign that i think might contribute to it is the fact that when i bought it from fleet farm, there was a scratch on the inside of the barel. No idea if this has anythgin to do with it but this barrel is just getting me very angry. So if anyoen coudl help on that issue it woudl eb great cause im about to get rid of it for good. One mroe thign to add is that i am usign good rps premium paint, and im pretty positive my velocity isnt bad, actually positive. SO thats that

NOWWWW i bougth another GTA product which was the RT. I bougth it, took it hoem took like a halfhour+ to install to maek sure i did everythign flawlessly so i didnt have a flatline type problems again, aired it up and took it out side. I pulled the trigger and it shot about 4 times very fast then stopped. I tried to pull the trigger but it woudlnt budge for anything. The trigger pull had to be over 20 pounds it just wouldnt move at all so i took it inside, looked at it rearranged everythign back together and bolted her back up. took it outside, shot did a 3 rounds burst then it just died again. No wi am very angry cause i just blew a 100 dollars on somethign that doesnt work wo i sit down with it, and start to loosen up the little adjuster thign a little more then i hear a pshh for liek a secodn then it stopped. So i tried to shoot again it shot one time easy then tried to pull the trigger again and it was the same 20 pound pull. loosend the thign again and it made another little poof of air coem out. Then that kept happening. After i release the air pressure from teh piston, it shot then the next shot the little metal cylinder thing that pushes ur trigger just stays out. I think this is because the cylinder is filled with air and wont alow the piston to coem back in, makign the trigger pull so hard. So if anyone knows how to fix this problem with my RT please help again.

Im sry for the question but these to GTA accessories are jut getting me so mad im about to disband the whole thing. So please help me figure out whats wrong with this so i can see how this beast is really supposed to work. Thanks again

Take a breath and spell check a little more. I'll give some ideas on what I read:

First, I'm not sure what you meant by that, particularly the rubber amllet and what it has to do with your marker. How well do you really know your marker. You stated you have been playing for 5 months and that this is your first marker. Did you have someone help you with the flatline installation? It does have to be fine tuned and is very picky about which paint can be used and what air pressure. A bad paint match or pressure too high are the most likely causes and you should have your marker chronographed (not just eyeballed) for velocity. I believe max for a flatline is around 270 for best results. You say the velocity is "positive" later but that doesn't mean anything, tell us a number. As for paint, yes its a good brand but did you buy it from a reputable dealer? It could be old paint. Look at it to make sure it is consistently round.

Not sure what fleet farm is but I'm guessing not a regular paintball supply store and that you may have bought a used barrel that is damaged. See below for my complete suggestion.

I didn't include all the problems / trials you did but they can be read in your post. Sounds like either a bad part or bad installation. What I suggest since you are having problems with two GTA parts is have your marker professionally looked at. My first suggestion would be to call the Tippmann Proshop and send them your marker. Yes, it will take them a little time to take care of it, but they usually have issues fixed inside a week and then they mail it back to you for free. All you have to pay for is the shipping to get you marker there, you don't even pay parts or labor. You could also take it to a real proshop (not a random place that sells paintball supplies) and have them take a look. It will probably be fixed that day, but you will probably be charged quite a bit (up to $45 an hour I've heard but coul dbe less depending on where you live).

Good luck

as much as i woudl love to take it to a proshop, o rbuy my upgrades, and paint from, i just cant. I liv ein Wisconsin and the nearest field is liek a hour away and i cant drive. And im pretty positiv ei know my marker pretty good. I have it memorized inside and out. Fleet farm isnt a paitnabll shop yoru rigth, but its just about all i have around here. Like i said earlier i dotn live near a field, so its impossible to get my hands a a chronograph around here. The barell also was not used, and was NIB, or it atleast appeared to eb adn they ripped me off. The rubber mallet was also used ofr pounding the flatline in all teh way, whcih is the way mentioned in the instructions fro installing it. I do think i will take your advice though and send it in to tippmann to get fixed, and could i send both my flatline, and my RT in and have them do both at the same tiem? Thanks alot fro yoru help, adn for suggestions, it is very much appreciated. Thanks again
