i have upgraded my marker as far as i can, cyclone feed ( better rachets and soft paddles). Low profile hopper. Even made a mod so the response triger fits.
now i need help on what types of barrels i should and could use.
will the the 98 flatline barrel be compatible, Should i rather use a 16"Sniper and add the apex tip or just use the apex barrel.
the question basicaly boils down to
98 Flatline vs. Sniper/Apex combo vs. Apex system

None of this barrels will give you "sniper" pin point accuracy at long ranges if that is what you are looking for. Flatline/apex are great for shooting at a flat trajectory when you are in situations with low overhead cover as well as long distance suppression fire. You will not be able to pick a gnat off of an opponents head at 300 yards if that is what you are aiming for. Good all around normal distance barrels are J&J ceramic as well as Lapco Big Shot barrels. They are reasonably priced and give much better performance than the stock barrel.

im sorry but i disagree i had a lapco big shot barrel on my A5 and it would shoot far but not straight i used several diff ball from 75 dollars for 2000 to 20 bucks for 2000 and i got tired of it and bought a flatline barrel and its worth it it shoots further and starighter that any barrel ive ever owned, i have the star fire bolt and jcs red tube and high spring behind it also and ive been to 2 scenario games so far and all the guys after its over always call me "the Sniper" cause of my long shots, but im not sayin the flatline is the best because no barrel is goin to give you a sure hit because no matter what barrel you have no 2 shots are goin to be in the same spot Luck plays alot in the long shots its all about what you know about what your gun can do the J&J ceramic and lapco big shots are nice barrels but they also go in the catagorie with "None of these barrels will give you 'sniper' pin point accuracy at long ranges but ill back up the flatline and say i love it and for the money its awesome it has more distance being that is only 8 inch long compared to havin a 16 barrel with a huge silencer on the end witch by the way is very heavy when you acrry it around for a 8 hour scenario game

^^^^^^^ I'm sorry, but I disagree with you as well. I had Flatlines on both my 98 and A5. Both increased range, but at the cost of accuracy. While I found the 98 Flatline to be more accurate than the A5 Flatline, neither was even remotely accurate past 40-50 ft. |

I used a flatline on a 98 and I'd have to agree that past 50feet the accuracy starts to seriously deteriorate, and that past 75 feet it's extremely spotty. You CAN get some shots much longer distances, but as stated above, it's good for cover fire only. I think that the worth of the flatline is overstated - particularly to people who are trying to do a sniper setup.
