go to SMG Owners Group They have a classified section where you can request a gas line, and more than likely someone will have one that you can buy, i've gotten parts for my 68 Special from that sight.

and LbLPunk, a working SMG68 with clips, mags, and parts regularly goes for $650-$800. they are rare, and highly sought after by Tippmann collectors... Hell even the Tippmanns themselves were recently posting on that forum saying that they wanted some SMG60 and SMG68's for their wall of fame in their new west coast facility, now if even the Tippmanns don't have any, that tells you how hard they are to find and why they cost to much to get.

how hard would it be for tippmann to make more? even though the collectors value might go down but some of us want to use it in battle at sumthing less than 600

But anyways, I also own an internal gasline SMG60. The spacing between
rings is precise and won't work if you cut them. Have you already had a
chance to check inside the valve.

Key things to check. Make sure the rocker arm can move freely. Clean
any rust from inside your barrel. I had to useliquid rust remover on
mine. but it got it all. I suppose I should post a pciture of my
collection again. If only one of my image hosts would come back.

Fortunately the parts that I bought had amost all new and unesed stuff in it to "rebuild" with. I still can't figure out what makes the rocker arm pivot to advance the clips... Is it just some excess gas that makes it rock?
Name your poison...

Yep, thats exactly it. It uses blowback gas. However, if there is not a ball in the chamber, then the rocker arm won't rock.
