This is what my gun looks like right now:


I am thinking about buying this upgrade kit:


Using paint and a few pictures I have comprised what I think my gun will look like if I get the kit:

I know the barrel is not right, but its close enough.

Well what do guys think? I like it, but am kinda turned off by the whole cosmetic upgrades.

Oh and I was going to buy an X7 AK47 barrel sight which is shown in my created picture.

if you dont like the cosmetic upgrades dont buy them.... make your gun look the way you want it to look.. you should see mine.. i made my stock out of wood

I'd say, make sure they're not just cosmetic. Form and function ftw! click on my sig.

Well I mean I would love to have my gun look like that and I cant really think of anything else I would want to buy for my gun. I dont really want a firepower upgrade because I shoot too much paint as it is. I may later on buy a response trigger and a cyclone with x7 hopper, but that wont be for awhlie. I want to get good without a ton of upgrades first. And techie I have actually seen that video before, a few days ago I was searching for 98 custom ak47's and I found your video. It was quite helpful especially the rails and folding handle. I found a really cheap red dot I might also buy to kinda complete the look. I think I will buy the kit and then I will be happy with what my marker looks like. 

Heh after thinking over all of the upgrades I may get it kinda sounds like my marker will look alot like yours techie.

i like that kit on a 98 personally.  if i had one still iw ould buy it.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

I always liked the Tippmann AK kit. Have you ever looked at the Tacamo real wood kit?

Ya I did look at it and considered it, but I didn't like the fact that the front grip was still there and the fact that there is a barrel kit and not a shroud.

I thought on the barrel kit, you could replace the barrel with whatever you wanted. As for the mag, I was looking at the one OPSGear sold that utilized the front grip. In the end, it was going to cost a fortune and my wife.. ahem, asked me nicely not to do it. What you are looking at is a good choice, I saw it on sale somewhere for $79.00. Heck of a deal compared to the other.
