As for the NN rod. I turned down the plunger to allow smoother operation and a better seal on the inside of the ram housing. I might need to take down the shaft portion of it to accomplish the ramcap I want to make (try to use the same idea NN accomplished.)

take it to a welding or maching shop they could propbally fix it up pretty good by throwing some aluminum plates and welding them on there, then milling it back to the original design. only problem is it would be cheaper to sell it for scrap and start over on one of the other shells.

I have already started patching the grip frames with jb weld and sheetmetal (sounds trashy, but it works.) The problem with your idea is that welds won't hold up on 98s becuase the metal is too poor of quality. Also, if I threw away the receivers I would probably be committing a sin against the Tippmann community.

Dude, you know NN!?!?!?!?!?!?

Anyhow, I agree with your choice of three people, but seriously, everyone knows what their doing to some extent.

I don't really know NN I've posted in threads before that he had posted in.  He's a smart guy.  I've never spoken to him personnally though like PM'd him or anything.

Not everyone knows what they are doing.  I'd say like 90% of my last 400 -500 posts I've been helping people on here that didn't know what the heck they were talking about or needed an intelligent opinion.  Most noobs know basically nothing.  I read and read and read some more to know what I know now and as I said I'm still learing.

I've got mainly everything about tippmanns and all their products under my belt except for the E-grip and the E-bolt ($1500 on my gun).  Other than that I'm very very knowledgeble about the Super RT, I know lots about internals, I know many things about improving and making the gun faster/better.  But the thought that everyone knows something about paintball to some extent is well in my opinion : flawed (at least slightly).  But don't get me wrong I'm here to help people and I like doing that, (I also do get abused here pretty often so I try to keep my mouth shut now around jerks and ignore them). But ya helping others is like giving back to those that helped me in the past and people like NN, Bruce, and karll are ideal tippmann owners in my books.

Anyway Karll you are going to have to teach me a few things about the ebolt in the future like you did with carl_the_sniper.

Almost all of them except for the scrap set of receivers. I have given some away over the years.

Hey Karll, could you pm me on model98.org as SRT-4 or talk to me on AIM as chim5517? I have big plans for my project and it needs some advice.

Anyways this post would be useless unless I added pics of my recievers.

No, there are not any inperfections my scanner is just dumb. The finish is black powdercoat.

im pretty sure you can resurect a tippmann no matter what has gone wrong with it...

the 98 is pretty much indestructible, reliable to a point much like an ak47... why do you thinks fields use them as rentals... they can take years of abuse from countless noobs and still only require minimal maintaince...
