Eyes in the grip? never heard of it...but the eye on the marker is used to eliminate chops.

^It actually looks for paint...you know why you usually get regular chops right? when the paint is not completely in breech and the bolt comes and mashes it in half....well the eye wont lets the bolt go forward untill the ball is completely in the breech.

basically the eye detects if the paintball is all the way in the gun.  if its not, it stops the gun from firing.

and for eyes in the grip frame?  i think there are break beam triggers.  pull the trigger, and the eye sees it, and the gun fires.

Most eyes use break-beam eyes, meaning they work when something breaks a beam of light

Get a Bushy with PDS, which is EYES. Its 495$, Impulse with Vision is what $550? Maybe if save money and get a Revolution 2 which is another $50 dollars savings. You can now afford a Ripper with EYES and a kick-arse hopper. Your choice.

Coming in May 2005!

Ok yes the worrblade does come with an eye but that is to put in your marker. It isnt actually part of the frame its self.

No markers has eyes in the frame to detect paint.

The Vision impulse has bad eyes. If your gonna get a impulse then get a stock impulse then get the was board which comes with better eyes, or you could get a b2k4 with pds.

Certain eyes dont work as well as other just like anything else in paintball. Some dont detect certain types of paint such as multi shell coloured or dark coloured paint. Some "bad" eyes will sometimes read paint when there really isnt any, and this will lead to a choppped ball.

The worblade/eblade do have eyes, what they do is detect when the trigger is back and fires that way, instead of using a switch so the trigger is pure magnetic and 100% adjustable, you can have zero pull weight if you want.

Eyes in the marker detect if a paintball isn't all the way out of the feedneck and the marker wont fire untill it is, that way you will never chop, duel eyes im not too sure about, probebly just better paintball detection but they may have some other purpose too.
