For some reason, the a piece of the outer black rubber layer of my remote line had blown off. Not exactly sure what caused it, but I had been firing some shots in the back yard, went back inside the kitchen, unhooked the line from my Project Salvo, left the line still connected to the HPA tank for a while, went to another room and then all of a sudden a hear a loud POP coming from the kitchen. At first i didnt notice anything wrong with the remote line itself. I test fired a few shots, found no leaks or anything. It was only afterwards that i found that a piece of the rubber layer of the remote line was gone, exposing the inner weave layer. I did a few more test shots, again, no leaks detected, and i can still punch holes through cardboard an' stuff. Is this something that can be fixed by just covering the exposed part with electrical tape or should i go and buy a new remote line? It was an extremley cold day when i was shooting (-14 C), don't know if that matters.

Wonder if you have a tiny pinhole lead in the line that cause the black coating to form a bubble and pop? Seems like a defect in the remote line. I would contact the company you bought it from and see if they will replace it. If there is a pinhole in the line, taping it up wont help. You could try airing it up again and submerging it in water to see if you get any air bubbles. Last think you want is that braided steel line to come apart with 800+ psi pumping through it. |
