k i know this small topic may be lame, but i have a quick question and no point in bumping an old thread or something like that.

but can a tippmann marker work without a front bolt, or is that an essential part?
just thinking cause i ,ay be able to mod my gun further with its pumpy-ness or so if i can get rid of the front bolt.

its still winter here in canada and the weather has been going up and down lately and i unfortunately do not have HPA yet, and i am not one to fiddle unless i know something will or wont work, and if nobody else knows, then depending on what it is will depend whether or not i will do it.

back to the question...
is the front bolt necessary on a 98C to function properly?

I'd have to say it is.  Without it you have nothing to push the ball into the chamber or seal it there.

i asid crap as in " aww that's too bad" to the front bolt being necessary to 98C operation, so on and so forth

i did not say it to say "aww, someone responded"
that is NOT what i meant...   so just to let y'all know
