Okay, so the first rule of Autocockers is that the word "Trilogy" anywhere in the name lessens it's value by about 75%. The main reason being that the integrated 4-way (3-way) switch makes fine tuning almost impossible due to the lack of certain points of adjustability. Not to mention the fact that buying a brand new autococker is about like buying a brand new Toyota Camry. You overpaid for what you got, and you won't get anything like what you paid for it if you try to sell it down the road.
In short, buy a '00+ USED autococker from e-bay or MCB for cheap and go from there. I just typed in "Autococker Paintball Gun" into the e-bay search bar and got 5 pages of results. You can get an e-bladed sucker on there for less than $300 now. Anywho, the great thing about 'cockers is the sheer amount of modification that you can perform with a basic understanding of air-flow principles. "Half-blocking" by the way, can mean one of several procedures, the first is cutting the front part of the body of the marker back to where the trigger frame ends. This does away with the ASA and forward valve chamber and integrates them into the front block. However, it also lessens the valve-chamber volume and thus, requires a high input-pressure to maintain velocity. You CAN add a volumizer to the front block to compensate for this, however, and achieve some good lp numbers, though not as much as you would with a full front valve chamber. The other term for half-blocking is the removal of large quantities of metal from the rear portion of the marker and replacing the traditional back-block with a "sled" that rides on top of the lower tube portion of the marker, or chopping both tubes to achieve a shorter rear-end over all. The removal of all this metal lightens the marker and can help improve cycling rates as well as shorten the rearward throw of the ram, which again improves cyclical rates. Again, there are drawbacks to this process. Chopping both tubes down means that you not only have to have specially made bolts and drive springs, but the main-spring strength is going to be increase dramatically to give the hammer enough inertial force to keep the valve open for the required time. This results in a stiffer feel to the marker rather than the more fluid motion that most autococker users are used to. As for improving the marker, litterally EVERYTHING can be changed for some form of a operational advantage. 3-ways can be changed out to fine tune the re-cocking cycle, LPRs can be adjusted to set the speed and force with which the ram opens and closes the breach/re-cocks the marker (this can help eliminate chopping all together) Rams can be changed out for shorter/longer throws, and QEV's can be added to increase the cycle rate. Your valve can be changed out for a high-flow to lower the operating pressure, the springs and hammers can be changed to do the same, there are about a million different types of bolts, rear-blocks, bolt retention pins, beaver tails, grip frames, trigger types, sears, and even ball detents that can all be changed/replaced/tweaked to make the marker completely yours and like no other. They truly are the pinnacle of customization in a sport where cookie-cutter markers have been the norm for quite some time now. All that customization and the moving parts tend to both awe and intimidate people at the same time. Honestly, the theory is simple, and once you grasp it, there's no end to what you can make a 'cocker do. There's a reason people still stare in wonder whenever they see a nice one out on the field. |

I bought an '05 Superstock when the bottom fell out of the price and couldn't be happier with it.
Shoots nice, and very fast right out of the box. I was actually very suprised. I like cockers because of the "complex-simplicity". A million moving parts to shoot a paintball...it just seems to me that they should be called Rube Goldberg markers or something. ![]() ![]() ...Oh, and I love the sound they make when they cycle. ^^^Thats what I got a week or so ago.
Very good deal. I don't need it, probably won't use it, but at that price, I couldn't let it go. Put 1000 rounds through it the day I got it. Full Auto is INSANE...it shoots at the speed of the loader, and the loader I used was a HaloB V35 with fresh batteries. Probably shot about 23-25 bps for the first couple of hoppers. Crazy fast. No chops. Fairly accurate for a painthose. ![]() |

Pro-Stock is the way to go then Kurietaa! It will give you plenty of time to work out the mechanics and figure out that strange and wonderful thing called "timing" that always gets so many people scared.

Well my friend, welcome to the "Revolution"
![]() I have a feeling that we're going to see a re-birth of 'cocker users in the very near future with the fact that they have become so accessible with the price-drop. Hopefully it will help the upgrades manufacturers rebound from the sales slump of the past few years! |

Probably not. Their price range only really appeals those who are veterans of the game that either just love cockers or want a cheap but well performing mech/electro. But with all the newer mid-end electros coming out at very low prices, that market is continuing to dwindle. Autocockers are going out of date, soon they will only be seen being used by Cocker Collectors. I blame K2. They basically killed any advancement and improvement in the Autococker design, and therefor killed the demand for them. |

I talked to a Race tech. They have literally given up on the paintball market, and said that they will continue to service the old parts, but other than that, they are a dead company.
Shame really, Race Frame > E-Blade. |

All electronic frames except for the crappy Select Fire (SF) frame have been discontinued. Races are exceptional frames, and are very user intensive, giving the operator complete control over the frame. Problem is, you can only tune them via computer, and parts and services are going to be REALLY hard to find soon. That's why I'm sticking to Eclipse/WGP's frames. While they may be discontinued, parts are still plentiful. E-Blades are more user-friendly, as everything is operated from the frame itself, and the modes are easier to adjust/access. The E1 is semi-only, so you can get those for cheap. The E2 or the E1 with ZeroB board will be more costly, ranging from $150 to $200, but includes other modes such as ramping and full auto. If you MUST know about the SF frame, it is a toned down version of the E-Blades. It has ramping and full auto, but you can adjust VERY little on the frame. Also, the electronics are iffy and the membrane is unreliable at best. There is also no LCD screen.
