So Ive been kicking around the idea of the semi c-3. Its ok and all, but it cant be used with CO2. Regular guns are great too, but doesnt have the ability to be used with Propane.
I was thinking that maybe there could be a kit. So that you are givin a propane asa, which goes to an expander(nice term for a chamber that ignites the propane), then sends that pressurized gas to either the guns valve, or a seperate chamber to hold the gas to be used. This kit could be placed on any gun that uses HPA or CO2. I think it would look great on an automag. I know this idea is pretty broad. Just looking for some input as to what you guys think of the concept. |

Basically a propane-powered air pump that is mounted on the gun? Interesting. |

Well the c-3 has orings. One might need to replace the orings in the gun with high temp ones.

it would cause problems in non-all metal guns. and even in all metal guns it would turn into holding a burning coal quickly. I know thats a bit of an exageration with the burning coal stuff.... but a kit to convert any gun into a propane power is unlikely. a much more likely idea would be a gun specifly built to be a semi-auto paintball gun that uses propane. but still the problem is keeping the gun at a constistant temperature. if the temp keeps fluxing up and down its gonna cause problems with consistancy due to expansion and contraction of different materials within the gun. I do think you are on to something however with the idea of the combustion chamber that then leads to a holding chamber before the main valve. you would just have to find a reliable way to regulate the temperature once it reaches the holding chamber. i would be afraid of the holding chamber overheating and exploding... plus all the bad parts from the ignition would get all over your internals, probably ruining them. like you could make an assembly like this to fill up the tank between games, but think about it... for every one shot to fill up the holding, you will get one shot later on. the holding tank would become extremely... extremely hot... explode just what i think, actually a really good idea but i don't think it can become functional for a decent price for the time being |
