Hey, I just decided to get into paintball so i visited my local Paintshop and  asked about getting a 98c. unfortunatly all the  markers there were either sold out or $600  so after a while of deciding he decided to pull out a  98c 20th anniversery I was amazed. he offered it for only 170 and came with hopper and Co2 . Afyter looking  Into this i still believe this was an amazing deal as the marker itself was tagged for $300 . Ive got three questions . 1 Was this a good deal.  2  Is it a good beginer gun .  3 what would be the first upgrades to put into this after i get more into Paintball. Oh bear in mind it came with the  werks barrel.

Thanks for Any CONSTRUCTIVE replys

1. Yes its not a bad deal.

2. It is an excellent beginner gun, but I would reccomed a regular 98 Custom instead. The 20th Annevarsary is a limited edition, flashy gun and not really designed to be used (Although it will work just fine). And, the newer 98 Customs have ACT (not sure if the annevarsarys do).

3. A new barrel. The stock barrels are crap.

Good buy, since they were originally in teh $300 range.

98c's have a long-standing reputation as great beginner guns. You would have no problems with it.

You would need to play with it some before deciding on what to upgrade. A new barrel is reccomended because even though it's not the stock barrel, there are still better on the market.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.
