new type of game?

I dont know if this has been done. combine football & paintball together.

 the defence would have the to defend there goal line buy taking out the quarterback & other players. the offence would have a quarterback that would have to run the field without a gun to get to the goal line (the defence can not just stay there at the goal)

the offence would defend the quarterback buy taking out as many defence players as possible. there would be 4 downs (if the quarterback gets hit) same starting point. first team to get 5 points wins
1 paintball gun package=$150
1 case of paint=$50
air & entry fee=$15
lighting up newbies all day long= Priceless

Interesting concept.  It'd be hard to convince your fellow players to participate though...people hate new ideas for some reason....

yeh I just figured good for football fans. I like the tactical part of football so I thought this would be a good game that would have lots of times to rest but also the "out" players would not have to set out for too long before coming back. you know how it sucks to get hit 5 seconds into the game and then the game lasts 5-15 min.

id do it...set up a 100 yd speedball feild and each down would continue until the ball carrier was shot...but every one should have a gun and the ball can be thrown between players...good idea, ill have to try it

the rules are not set in stone try it any way you want. I just want some feedback from players that do try it

How about this...

Each team starts off on the line like football, except with a bunker between them (so you can't just blast the guy a foot in front of you..quick game).  Instead of a qb sounding off, just blow a whistle to signal the break.  The Olines and Dlines scatter to bunkers, trying to pick each other off like normbal xball.  The offense has to sacrifice a few linemen for receivers though, putting them at a disadvantage.  The defense, has to watch out for the Oline and turn to pick off receivers, though, which evens the score.  The QB has to hit his own receivers with his own color paint.  The receivers can't be touched by the defense until they've been marked by the QB.  If they reach the endzone "with the ball" before being marked, they score.  Anyone marked by an opponent is out, unless it's a receiver "without the ball", in which case maybe the defender is out.  The defense can "sack" the quarterback by marking him.  The only thing is, there would be no way to advance up and down a field with bunkers, so you'd probably just have to go with four downs (or maybe one is enough) to score or the other team "gets the ball".  Screw extra points...kickers suck.

I don't know if you're replying to my post or not, but here's an idea: try saying that you don't think an idea is good instead of just labelling it "stupid".  It's a lot less confrontational.  Besides, have you considered that a receiver would just need to get to the endzone (and, as I mentioned, they can't be shot at that point) and the QB hit him once to score?  How would the defense dominate?  Maybe you could rub a couple of brain cells together and improve on the idea, too.  That would be nice.  Like this...

Defenders could block shots from the QB to try to prevent a score too.  Maybe the QB can't take out defenders.

im sure this is a great idea but my ADD kicked in and i could finish reading it... games with tons or rules... or if it takes you alot of time to figure out what to do get shot down right away... there r tons of great game ideas but they have to be kinda simple or else your friends r goin to be like thats "stupid" and just complete ruling it out

LOL...I'm long-winded by nature and I think it's probably a little less complex than I make it sound, but in the end, you're probably right.  I was just trying to give some substance to an94's idea.
