I played on a team in Michigan, then moved to KY. Paintball is not all that big here yet. I am working on getting people into it, but it appears to be slow going. Any Ideas?

Any local fields? If no, you're going to need to persuade your friends. But usually they only go once, and rarely do they actually pick it up as a hobby.

lol you need to find some people like me.  I played once and suddenly I had a paint lust.  I couldnt belive my parents wouldnt buy me a marker (I was under 18 at the time) and the day I turned 18 I went w/ my bday money and bought a 98c.  Havent stopped playing since.
Stay low, run fast, and hope that paintball doesn't hit your...

I live in Kentucky. What part of Kentucky do you live in? And also you could take some of your new friends to conderspaintball field in e-town.
