    Posted: 25 October 2006 at 7:42pm
Hey guys, I recently bought a brand new DM4 and I started shooting it out back. It seemed fine until it started chopping paint. I happend to be standing still and steady, so I was kind of in disbelief. I took it to a nearby paintball shop and told them my problem. Apparently they need to order something for it and I will get it back in less than a week. My question is there anyway that I could possibly increase the performance of my gun either it be accuracy or chopping. I just want to know what you guys recommend most guys who buy a DM4 upgrade.

For the chopping, you probably needed new eyes, if you had any. For accuracy you can put on a UL barrel if you don't have one. And for a nice performance boost, you can slap on a UL frame.

DM4s do come stock with UL barrels. A frame is not much of a performance boost.

Were the eyes on? What's your LPR and dwell set at? Type of paint? Type of loader? Size of paint? Temperature?

Woops. I didn't see that he bought it new. I thought it was used.

It initially sounds like your pressure settings were incorrect.   As for upgrades... just don't.   There is nothing wrong with the DM4 stock.   Minor things you could do are switch triggers or maybe the inline reg.

You could switch your chip, but why?
