Go for it! Don't listen to these guys that are saying the gun and bps is everything. The main thing is have fun, whatever you do and whatever marker you have. I think you can have a lot of fun, and become a better player, with a pump.

Team Blowfish plays competativly in the NPPL with pump, but this kid can't play at his local field with one and have a chance? Sure he can!

Yet another reason im thinkin about it. If we go out their w. pump guns, and get use to them, how easy would it be to win a game with a semi.

Hard initially, but learn to snapshoot with excellent precision and you're set.

Yup, he actually said that.

We play with tippys where were at and we are thinking about going out and buying some cheap pumps. A lot more challenging but alot more fun. Go for it.

I love playing with my pump, regardless of what I'm up against. It's very challenging when you have to play against a team of paint sprayers and you're armed with a pump but you learn to be much more efficient that way. I went a whole day using only about one bag of paint instead of my normal 2 or 3 and I did some damage still. The biggest difference is that I wasn't lazy like usual and I made use of every shot instead of relying on the fact that I could shoot quickly. I had a lot of fun playing speedball with it too, that was intense. You think you get a rush playing with a semi? Lol, you don't know what a rush is until you try speedball with a pump. Find a cheap pump and give it a shot, you should enjoy it and save some money on paint too.

Here is the thing. I want to get a pump, but i want one that will use a C02 tank, and a regular view loader hopper. I know you dont use much paint, but with as few paintballs as one w.out a hopper will hold, i dont think i would last. The games last too long. If you have seen one let me know.

depends how much pump you want to get into.  You can pick up some good deals on ebay.  i'd recommend a Phantom because parts are abundant and CCI has awesome customer service.

most pumps can run ca vert feed, just stay away from anything that internally loads a 12gr and you should be good. Stock breeches and 12gr bucket changers can be swapped out piece of cake. If you are just getting into it and don't want to spend a lot, I would suggest a Maverick/Trracer or an SL-68 II. Otherwise you are going to be spending quite a bit more money. If you want to spend over 200 the possibilities really open up and you have tons of choices to make. Might want to check out stockclasspaintball.com they have tons of information and the people are very knowledgable and informative. Good luck.
