One thing I've mentioned to other USP users/wanters.  Have replacements on hand for that seal that goes around the piercing pin.

Good review by the way.  (The fact that you agree so closely with my opinions on this marker probably helped.  Smile)

I'm currently awaiting the UPS man to deliver my first pistol, the Tac 8... After reading reviews on it and watching  Youtube vids, I had to get one...  I think if I like it enough, I may purchase another one and leave my A-5 and X-7 out for afew games and try my luck

I would have personally waited for the new Tippmann TPX. I'm most definitely going to get one. It's essentially the same thing as a Tac-8, being internally regulated and magazine fed, but it will be cheaper, and eliminates the flaws with the Tac-8. CO2 isn't contained in the mag, so mags will be MUCH cheaper, and reloading is much simpler.

It's supposed to come out in April. I can't wait!

I know I should have waited, and believe me, I was trying.. I wanted to see the reviews for the TPX and then decide, but sometimes I cave in and make impulse puchases...  But when the TPX does come out, and if the reviews are great, I will most likely pick one of these up...

I had the pro-Lite, worked great, and bought the A-5

the A-5 works flawlessly, and last year I purchased the X-7

We are looking forward to the new TPX pistol.   In the past, their has been a big problem with the quality of paintball pistols.  I think this has been due to a few reasons.  Players assume that a pistol should cost less than a full size paintball gun. Unfortunately this is not the case.  Paintball pistols require more technology (paint magazines and 12 gram adapters),  They are also made in much smaller quantities than regular paintball guns.  This means that if you want the same quality as a regular paintball gun, the price is much higher.  With the general expectation that a "back-up" gun should cost less, most paintball pistols have been low quality.
Since the TPX pistol is made by Tippmann, we have great hopes for it being a very high quality paintball pistol.  Tippmann made and Tippmann Warranty = a paintball pistol which will put all othe paintball pistols to shame.

Me and my bro bought a couple of Delta 68's last fall.  We are currently looking at buying a couple more pistols to allow both of us to dual-wield.

Pistol's as backup are for all logical intents and purposes, useless, allbeit, cool, but useless.  Having said that, i'm purchasing a holster for mine, and WILL be packing in most games this summer.

It is exceptionally fun to dual pistols on the speedball course.  No time to re-load, so its 24 shots (12 in each gun).  But when their accurate, its alot of fun to just point with each hand in two different directions.  FUN times.  Not to mention the added manuverability of havin just a pistol in one hand.  You can run soo much faster.

Pistols as "sidearms", may not be for everyone. I carry several pistols when I play(actually pistols are all that I use most of the time), if you want to carry one then do so. If you choose to carry a pistol, you MUST practice with the pistol on a regular baisis so that it's use and reloading is second nature.
Take the challenge, try to make 200 paintballs last for 8 or more hours(other than not shooting).
