Ditto. My normal modus operandi is to fix stuff 'till it's broke . . .but thanks to this input I will probably refrain from disassembling my TPX clips when my marker arrives. |

No kidding, I was curious at first but not anymore.
Anyways, I have now used this thing twice, and I LOVE it. The day I got it I walked around trying to find a trail to use it on and used 4 magazines through it, and loved it. Yesterday I went out with a few friends and took turns with it, and they were wanting them almost immediately. The quick change cap on the front for the CO2 12 grams is fantastic. Easy as pie to remove when empty, but when gassed up it wont budge. It's perfect, just wait till the airs out, and it's safe to remove....and it lets you. The whole thing is slightly oversize, but I'm a large guy so it felt pretty normal to me. The magazines are still a dream come true, they work amazingly well, and quickly. Just push a button and the spent clip gets ejected out the bottom (literally ejected, by a spring, so you dont have to even touch it if you just want to let it fall to the floor) then the next one just slides right in. I was averaging 2 magazines per 12 gram, but there was air left over after the 2nd, just not enough for a full magazine. I think my default velocity might be a bit high, which would be why I'm not getting as many shots as the video review (averaging 3-4) so when I get a chance to chrono this I will know for sure. |

Yeah, I'll definitely be getting one...
My favorite velocity is 260. I play pump usually, so I find it the perfect balance of performance and efficiency on 12ies. I should be able to get 3 mags easy. Maybe I can figure out some efficiency mods to squeeze out 4.

I have to say the Tippmann Holster is awesome. Secure Fit, easily modified and It holds the TPX even with a S&W M&P Tactical Light. (the part where the trigger guard and the rail is has two Velcro strips that you can open to add extra room in the Holster).

So I hadn't updated this in a while. I have used the pistol several more times demoing it to friends. MAN were they jealous after. Very high on the "I want" scale for sure. I also had a couple breaks in the gun. The first time I simply ejected the mag, ran a sqeegee up the grip and out the barrel and it was good to go. Then the next time it happened I believe that a friend had loaded the mag incorrectly that caused it to happen, as there was paint down the inside of the grip.
So when I got home I stripped it all down, and was amazed at the simplicity of the innards. I had looked at the manual and been very apprehensive to open it up, but its not bad. I now see what Enos was talking about, the amazing valve. You could potentially move a trigger to anywhere along the body of the gun, just by changing the length of a tube. Truly awesome, can't wait to see more of it. Anyways, went back together fairly easily after I got everything back correctly. Sadly, it leaked when I filled it up to show off, but from the looks of it I just messed up a seal inside and needed to add some more grease, so I'll be doing that soon and firing it some more. I'll try to remember to get some videos of it in action or something, it's quite sweet. |

I finally got mine in the mail after the months of waiting and learned a very valuable lesson: Cheap paint WILL chop in this thing. Not every ball will break, but enough to be reeeally annoying. Fortunately, it's relatively easy to disassemble/reassemble.
At about 1/2 the length of a stock 98, and being mostly made of plastic, it is a light little devil to work into buildings/tight spaces with. Just make sure, for the love of all that is decent and holy, that you use tough paint. The cheap/thin stuff will put on a karate demo all over the internals without fail. |

It's interesting, the body is actually the same length as a 98 body. Impressive they can fit the valve and barrel into that space. |

I was taking the barrel and air tank into account. The extra length gets in the way when in tight quarters.

Got my new TPX today. Really nice, and very accurate for a pistol.
I'll wait until it's chronoed and shot in before more comments.
In fact I will probably read the manual too aha
It did seam to shoot down by the third shot, but that may be FPS or
something covered in the manual.
Super happy

Good news everyone! After receiving my Project Salvo in the mail yesterday I decided to re-strip it and grease it up properly. I found a broken tiny o-ring as well going into the valve. Probably why it leaked last time, so I replaced it (now have no spares) and re-greased. Sure enough I gassed it up and shot it into a pillow on my balcony and it works like new again :D
Fantastic. |

No. You cropped the "aha" off the quote! That was the mandatory escape phrase.
