Ok, so i started playing with a Tippmann A5, but it was too heavy and expensive, so i bought a pump. you guys might not like this but its my newest. I still love tippmanns durability but not the weight.
oh and for those who are still nieve to the ways of stock class, it takes 12gram CO2's and 10 rounds |

whats not to like. straight forward and simple. Nice looking gun. Did you get rid of the A5 all together. That is a bit of a jump lol.

Nice pump, though I prefer VSC. I'm not liking the micro pump handle on a full size Phantom.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

yea, well, im in the market for some gold grips. and yea, i did lose the a5 alltogether. I had a flatline on it, and an egrip. i was goin through balls like crazy. i was using marbalizers with it and i as goin through a case a day, not cheap. i still use marbalizers but now less than 500 a day :), and i'm just sayin, i know how all you guys like is a stock x7 with a M4 kit on it, lol jk. I had borrowed a friends phantom one day and my a5 didnt feel the same, this setup fully loaded weighs less than 2lbs, and i love the fact that all the crazy milsimers and tourney players think its cheap, and it sucks, or that i'm awesome and its super accurate. i just love the persona it gives

Very nice. I think I'm suffering from Phantom envy.

A CASE A DAY???? wow, i have a cocker that shoots very fast, but i always use under 2 bags, normally under 1 bag. i think the change from using a mass amount of paint to 15 shots is going to be hard, because im finding it hard not being ot be able to shoot a lot of paint. not liking the mini pump handle either, undercocking kits are perfect. i hope you pwn the hell outa those people who say anything agaisnt pump.

i go through a 1/2 - 3/4 a case when I use rebound on my A5 when playing a long day (10am-5or6pm) So I can understand that but the jump to a pump should be interesting. Have you played with it at all?

the marbalizers were like 70 a case, this one cost me close to 4, i bought some other stuff, tubes, extra parts, etc etc, and yes i love it. it fits me perfectly. I play tourney no rules with all electros, and i am usually the only guy to either flank, or get out at the 50. It is more a scout aspect, and i absolutely love it.

Ew... micro pump handle.
The anno is decent, but I'd have preferred green in stead of yellow. I agree with SinisterNorth, VSC (or a vert 3.5 oz tank) is the way to go for comfort. I run mine with a t-stock too, which is just way better for a guy like me. As for the whole thing with pump play, most of the people who frequent these boards is familiar with it, it's merits, and field reaction. Pump pictures are rare and we appreciate it, and there's no need to defend Tippmanns on this board (only if you post on Spec Ops). And a tip: You might want to lube the area around the pump handle on your barrel before you play. The anno starts stripping off after a while. |

$400? yikes! that's a lot of cash to drop on a regular SC phantom with a micro-pump handle. You could have had the same anno in VSC format with two bodies for half that price if you'd gone used:
That one is going for $185 over at MCarterBrown.com Anywho, nice marker none the less. I like phantoms but I'm always afraid I'll break them the way I dive into bunkers and go sliding around all the time. I like the Grey Ghost better just due to the solid feel. |
