I say do it. Simple as that. And actually, the racing stripe idea seems kinda n33t, if done right. If not, it may look too cluttered. Maybe just skip that...

 . Don't get me wrong the idea sounds wicked, but I love that gun how it is, I saw my buddy do the same thing with his, he wasn't pleased and sold it, and I sold mine for money for a nerve and in retrospect I've never been more sad to part with a paintball gun.
