Very very good second best of the three number one being the fall of reach.It tells you what happens after halo and between halo 2 and how the spartans died more detailed oh and their are still spartans alive during and after halo 1 and at the end of the book a few days away from earth 4-5 weeks before halo 2 their are still 3 spartans alive with the chief that they don't say what happenned or if they died.There is 1 other spartan wich I am pretty sure is alive and thats kelly who was subdated and taken away in a stealth ship by dr. hasley.
