I picked a set of these up (Cl0ne's) and they fit very snugly, had to trim the bottoms where the Lapco dropforward adapter fits. I'm glad they are a bit firmer than they looked, I'm going to use a tiny bit of black silicone to seal any little gaps.

i always wondered what inspired tippmann to make it so you cant use any other type of grips on it. even though with a bit of modding you could probably get hybrid or dye ego or dm5 grips on it.
the ones you put on dont look to bad |

I hacked up a set of the old dyes and they are just a bit too small, the grip on the A5 is pretty fat which is too bad because there really aren't any good grips that'll fit.

I did a custom hack job on some grips from my old VL Revelation and got them to fit, except for a gap between them on the frames but it doesn't really bother me much. I wonder if he would make me some for a 98.

The Apex is better than I thought. It's lighter than the flatty, from what little I've used it, it shoots just as far as my flatty, and I really like that I can adjust the severity of the drop, or shut it off completely; well worth the $$. |
