Light, compact CQB weapon with M-4 carrying handle added (note rear
sight removed from receiver as well as the front "fin." This weapon will soon be painted in VietNam tiger stripe scheme. Drop forward is added to shorten the weapon and clear the lower portion of the stock better as well as to center the gravity point. I'll probably install a folding stock.
Here's the latest version: Folding stock, tac light and weaver block added. Front foregrip removed.

Very nice gun, I am a big fan of the compact A5's. Only thing I would change would be a remote, but still another great looking A5. |

I had thought about adding the M-4 carrying handle but don't really like mounting it on a rail so I decided to remove the rear sight and fin and see how it looked. I think it turned out pretty well. This is a revamp of an existing gun. I wanted to use the Lapco air cooled shroud too. I'll paint the tiger stripe pattern this weekend. Edited by nauzerlvr - 11 May 2006 at 12:25pm |

Nice work yet again, nauzer. A question: Where can I find the rail that goes on the carry handle so I can mount a red dot? Excellent work, looks great. |

Very excelent marker as always Nauzerlvr. I always thought that the A-5 should be kept as compact as possible. definantly add a folding stock and it will be perfect. oh and nice job on taking off the front lip and rear sight.

it's just a standard M-16 sight rail. You can get them almost anyplace that sells gun parts. You can also get an airsoft version as well. |

Those of you that like it, thanks for the accolades. Since taking the photo,
I've changed out the stock, removed the front foregrip and added a small weaver block and tac light. Sounds busy I know but I'll post photos soon and you can make up your own minds then. |
