I didn't have to do any prep or sanding.  It's really similar to fleckstone paint.  I got the paint from opsgear.com, which has several different paints.  In my case I got Woodland green, Sand and Brown.  All you have to do is paint in stripes and layers.  The black undertone works really well with the camo.  It took me about 15 or 20 minutes to get it the way I wanted which is not too bad.  Also, the paint cans are only about $7.00 apiece, which is relatively cheap considering the alternative of shipping and having someone else do it for you.  Anyway, thanks for the comments.
Keep it simple and play hard!!!

i would've taken the gun apart, so the parts wouldn't stick together but then the paint wouldn't match the rest of the gun, so paint-9.50000000000005/10  i like the stripes alot.
