One idea would be not playing... I don't really play in a heavy rain unless I am already at the field when it starts. I do not have any experience with the E-grip, but I have used my Impulse in a heavy rain. It is an electronic marker, and it worked fine for me. I would not suggest playing in the rain with an electronic marker, but unless you end up throwing it in a puddle I think your maker should be fine.

You'll be fine in the rain as long as A. You are holding it and dont leave it in the rain, and B Cover the Switch hole with tape.

but Idk how bad its raining so yea...
