Ok I got a question for someone who knows a little bit more than I do. I have an ION with full freak and some minor upgrades. A friend and I recently started to look into playing more serious tournaments and stuff like that and we have gotten a few offers from a couple of kids to play with them and such. Anywho my Question is would it be a smart move to see if I can pick up a NXT Shocker? I've been looking at prices and it seems like I can pick one up for around 400ish, and that’s pretty much my budget. So is this a smart move to see if I can pick one and use as my primary and have my Ion as my back up? Any thoughts suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I'm not an SP fan. If you want an spool valve marker I would recommend the Quest which goes for about the same price.

My friend got an SFT and decided to sell it an hour after he first used it. It
must be... tuned so perfect or it totally screws up. Matrices for the win. Get a matrix! |

There are a ton of markers that are tournament grade available in that price range, especially if you're willing to go used. You can pick up '06 egos with a few ups for $500 shipped on the BST forums over on MCB or PBNation.

$400 is my max I can spend.. being in college and working every weekend is all that I really can round up.

DM6s lately have fallen into that price range, same with some Marqs every now and then. If you look around, you can get nice Egos for that too. I myself would get a 06 Cyborg though, lately they have been coming down to that price. |

Thanks Meanman and Warham I've been looking into the DM6 and I think that might be the road I will head down. Thanks again for the input.
If I can find a DM4 for around $300 would that work too? Edited by ukassassin69 - 30 January 2008 at 7:38pm |

300 is a bit much on a Dm4, unless its got a lot of upgrades. I would always go with a new gun over more upgrades, though.
Anyway, even a Dm5 can get a bit lower than 300. Heres a guy on eBay selling a mad upped Dm5 - Link - and eBay is always at least 20% overpriced. |

NIB Dangerous Power Fusion '08 $425
'05 Super Stock with E-2 $375 '03 AKA Viking in Gold Anno $350 shipped IR3 that you can make a good offer on. Gets tank, hopper, and barrels. Those are just a few that I found on the first page of the electronic markers page of the BST over on MCB. Happy hunting! |
