I would say you should buy a 98c because its cheap and reliable. I have one myself and it has never failed me. The upgrades are endless for it to. If you are looking to spend way to much money for a paintball gun pick up a a5 |

if u are going to play once in a while i would go with a 98 custom. i started out with one and then i spent the extra money and got the a5. and honestly i wish i wouldn't have. i found im not as good a player with my a5. but i still love it for some reason. also they are both really reliable guns. if u plan on upgradeing go with the a5, u willl spend a fortune on upgrades on a 98. a5 upgrades are a lot cheaper.look at the price comparison from e-bolt to the e grip.

Ah. The old unstoppable object vs immovable wall debate. IE people trying to act like there opinion is fact on a question that is entirely opinion based. The better gun is going to be the one in the hands of the person who has more experience and practice in using it. I've used an A5 against 98c's and won and i've used an A5 against 98c's and lost. I prefer my A5 for the very simple reason that I don't need batteries, ever. I have having to worry about batteries so given the option of getting the 98c and then spending more money on a revy and batteries or spending the money upfront on the A5 and never needing batteries I bought the A5. The upgrades are endless for both and very close in cost comparison with the exception of the e-bolt which is now being replaced with the 98 pro. The price is really not that different when you consider the motorized hopper and batteries the 98 needs to get its full potential. Its just do you want a tall marker with the hopper sticking up above it or a wide but short marker with the hopper next to it. Do you want to use batteries or not. And most importantly, which one feels the most comfortable to you. |
