All depends on if your playing Backman or Middle Player or Front. If you play back, Autocockers work wonders. Accurate out the arse... With decent upgrades you can make that thing insane! E-blade

I would suggest the opposite. Mech cockers don't put out the stream of paint needed for good back play. For frontmen, however, they are very compact, accurate, and quiet. An E-cocker is good for a back player, but not a mech cocker. If you play woods, it depends on how woody your woods are. Cockers are very efficient on gas, which is good for the woods, but they do have hoses and external moving parts, which is asking for trouble when bellycrawling through the weeds. Mainly, however, cockers should only be used by those with some mechanical aptitude. They are the ultimate tinkerer's gun, and very fun to upgrade, but can be trouble if you are not handy. |

I agree with most of clarks post.
However, cockers are not more accurate than any other gun. Its been proven that the closed bolt design doesn't make a gun more accurate. It all depends on barrel bore to paint match. |

I would argue with most of your post. You are referring to a single study by Paintball Times (or whoever). That study was poorly done, and most certainly did not prove that closed bolt design doesn't make a gun more accurate. BUT - even if closed bolt designs are not more accurate (and I don't think that they are), that doesn't mean that cockers aren't more accurate than, say, Tippmanns. There are many things that go into a gun's accuracy, and open/closed bolt is the least of them. Cockers deliver pressure to the ball more consistently than Tippmanns do. That makes them more accurate. Cockers have less recoil than Tippmanns do. That makes it easier to keep shooting the same spot.

He means that selling is prohibited on the forums, as it says at the top of every forum page.
