To me, theres a simple awnser to all these threads, and that awnser is NO. But, I hear you when you say you want to be able to upgrade your equipment and as much as I dislike SP, the ion is a good marker. So on this one, I think your on your own, Just be sure you like the Ion before you sell your A-5. And i know your stuck with co2 but if you dont mind me asking, why is that?

Keep your A-5 or sell it and just buy a high-end gun. Not an Ion. What are you thinking? sry i couldn't help it it just puzzles me why everyone loves Ions. Is your A-5 woodsball or speedball marker. ifits woods and youre switching to speedball then I sorta understand but man you can get a used Shocker for 650$!

Ions, A-5s, they are both good guns. I guesse it just deppends on your taste. And as my ,ion hating, friend tippy279 was saying don't rule out a shocker although i've seen them for 650 brand new, that would be nice to have a shocker
 .

I don't hate Ions its just that you have to think, really good A-5 worth $650, Sp Ion, or Shocker or even Proto Matrix. If you get the Shocker used then you would have money for nitro. its just not worth to take the half step to the Ion. Cause then you only have like 500$ when you want a new gun better than your Ion. The Ion will lose value fast once its fad dies down. No offense the Ion truly is a great gun and I do llike it cause it is great value but it will lose value and I'm just skeptical until it proves itself better. Just be safe with the shocker or matrix keep the A-5 a few more months to a year and see what Tippmann, Smart Parts, Proto, Dye and WGP mainly come out with there may be a gun like the Ion but better for like 450$ right in your price range w/ and n2 tank. Basically my advice is to take your time and consider all options.
