#1 Weakness of a Flatline Barrel?

i HAVE a flatline, and obviously use it, the lil problem with the flatline is, that when u shoot, your barrel has to be perfectly vertical if u want to hit ur target, if ur gun is tilted to the side just an inch u will see the ball swerve in that direction, missing ur target and thats why some of u think the barrel is in-accurate, when u get a perfectly level shot its right on target, but with the way i play i dont stop and think of having the gun vertical, i shoot out the sides of things, like everyone else, so i dont like the way it does that, but the range is incredible, if u have the time to line ur gun up and take a shot u cant beat it, thats why i bought a teardrop, i feel more comfortable with a straight barrel, so even if i lean to the side, its a straight shot, but the flatline is a very good barrel and i wont sell it or throw it away, i prefer it for long range woodsball..

Explain to me what other barrel reaches 100 feet straight out, without pretending to be field artillery???  As for the wind effects, try this correlation... The longer the ball is in the air, the more prone it is to wind effects.  Obviously, the flatline is more prone to wind since it travels a heck of a lot farther and is in the air longer.

I disagree about the rapid fire issue from another post.  Try the same test with your marker bolted to a stand.  Now test the accuracy with a low and a high ROF. 

As for your choice of barrels, I would still go with the flatline.  I use it in both speedball and woodsball.  The flat trajectory is the key for speedball.  You can actually aim without arc.

The only drawback to a flatline is the noise.  When you shoot the flatline (at least the A5 version), EVERYONE on the field will know where you are to some degree.  It's extremely loud and metallic sounding.  Of course, if you play it right, that can work to your advantage.
