I have rough knees due to years of martial arts, so I just use a pair of old sparring knee pads under my pants when I play.

Paintball pants, shoes, and pads are a complete joke and waste of money.
I'll cut you.

I use none of the above.

When I play, I use baseball/softball catcher shin guards.

Great for sliding, and you can get them at Play It Again Sports for about $20.

Plus, if you are like me and have problem knees, they provide great protection.

I hate tournament pants. I use 661 knee/shinguards designed for mountain biking. And, if you don't have a paintball store nearby, you can find decent kneepads at Home Depot.

Id suggest getting some pants. Ive got empire tourney pants and I love em to death and at 75 bucks u cant go wrong, pants first. I voted for redz pads but if u decide to go with pants u should check out empire ventz. if u just wear shorts I would say get some generic volleyball pads cause you'll tear up your new name brand pads in shorts.

Any volleyball kneepads at the local sports equipment store is fine.

Alright well I am going to get some knee pads cuz my knees are always hurting after sliding all day. I'm going to be wearing them with shorts so I'll be sliding directly on them.
