Hi im using a a-5 with rt a pelmers reg and a flatline and i was having this problem i cant raelly get rid of ..... it started off as  a leak then it turn to this.........when i shoot my gun it shoot good semi or using the rt but about ever 4-5 shots it does like a double shot , i had only encountered this problem on my spyder sprit but that was becase the tank was directly connected to the gun but my a-5 has a reg so i dont know what could be up everytime it does the double shot it will break one of the balls becase the bolt kinda just skipss......i was thinking it was the valve becase that wasnt working all great a couple days ago.....if anyone has any help please help me out! i gata fix my tippy ASAP!

how high is your reg set? if its lower, it may not give you just enough pressure to cycle, and the rear bolt can catch the sear, causeing it to "double fire". so turn up your regukator, and see if it persists.

check your ball catch. Quick and easy, sounds like that could be a problem

well i did mod the trigger and i think i might have put a weak spring on the one that controls the part that hit the bolt....the psi is set low right now im gana test it out on high....ill post tommarow with results and thanks...

im just shotting air i dont want to put any balls in because then it will just pop balls.....

This is the sear and is very important that it be strong enough to catch the bolt every time. This by itself may be your cause.

ya i tested it out with a more harder spring and it didnt do the double shot thing but i hink i used one that was too hard and it wont let my rt work well..i ordered a new spring for it and some other little parts as well....thanks for all those who helped ill update to see if it all went well....."pray for my a-5"

 It might be your reg. Make sure that your psi about 800-850 becasue thats the best for tippmanns.
