I bought an absolutely brand new A-5.  I added the e-grip, car stock, and flatline barrel to it.  I screwed the air tank into the gun and it fires about 4 times and then stops.  I can even manually recock it and it won't fire again.  the trigger works and will fire the barrel, but it's not even using the air from the tank.  I know the tank is fine and is full.  I screwed the same tank into my old spyder and it shoots fine.  What is wrong with my A-5?  I have taken everything apart 10 times and put it all back together according to the manual.  I lubed everything with the oil provided.  I even tried a different CO2 tank and it did the same thing.

I figured maybe the bottom line air was bad.  I hooked up a remote line and tried it that way (attached the remote line directly to the tombstone).  Same result.

Am I missing something small here?  Any ideas?

Sounds like you ruled out the ASA adapter that comes with the marker. Several people have had trouble with the thread sealant they used to attach the braided line to it in the past. It sounds like a valve issue - does it look like the valve has any "gunk" on it?

sounds like your pin in your asa is to long or short,or your pin in your tank is to long or short. when you first screw the tank onyour marker,it gets enough air for a couple of shots than runs out. it sounds like your asa pin in the marker itself is pushing your tank pin in to far, causing it to restrict the air flow, try this next time, screw your tank on all the way, than give it a half turn the other way,and see if that helps,if not give it another 1/4 turn the same way as last time. I had the same problem with a crossfire tank,it would shot about 5 times and than die.
