I was thinking of a cheap way to make speedball bunkers and this is what I have come up with so far. Use pvc pipe to make the frame of the object you want (pretty much unlimited possibilites) and wrap plastic sheeting around it. The kind you can buy by the rolls. Its the same kinda of plastic material you cover picnic tables with. Then you can secure that with whatever you prefer. Do you guys think that the plastic will stop all the paint or would a different material work better?

PS:Im trying to keep the bunkers very light so they can be moved and stored easily...

Pros
  • Cheap
  • lightweight
  • unlimited possibilities
Cons
  • can see shadows through them
  • could fall over from wind
  • tears easily
  • can't press into them
  • can't be transported easily.
By the way, Heavy Duty shrink wrapping would work MUCH better.

I was planning on using black sheeting in order to avoid the shadow problem... That should work correct?

not really, can you throw your entire field inside of a cardboard box and drive it elsewhere? It would take multiple trips to move the entire thing.

And yes, on a bright sunny day light can shine through.

It needs to be weighted to keep from falling over, unless it has a really wide base.
