I posted this when I first did it back in 03', but since then my account and posts have disappeared so here it is again:

This was back when people were still having problems with the front of their hoppers braking in. Tippmann has since changed the material so I don't know if this is even of interest to anyone anymore.

The whole "process"(lol) is here:

I saw a guy who had welded 2 frisbees together and bolted it onto the cyclone feed of his A-5.   He has nearly 450 shots in there.

If you checked out the link and saw the idea I did mention other methods of cleaning a tennis ball and other types of balls that could be used. At the time it was a valid problem and the tennis ball was what I had sitting there. Worked good too, just needed to get all the fuz off to make it easier for paintballs to roll off.

Welded it? Did he use metal frisbees or did he glue two plastic ones together? Was it horizontal with the hopper bolted on in the center of one of the frisbees or was it vertical with an edge cut out of both frisbees?

They were plastic frisbees.
He had heated the edges of both frisbees so the plastic became soft and gooey and then stuck then together.

They were horizontal.  The bottom  one had a hole cut in the middle so the paintballs would fall in.

The combination of that,  a trigger crank (4 shots per turn)
and his crazy remote line that  hooked it up to 2 CO2 tanks and a flatline made this guy a walking tank.

It was a really simple setup really,  I could make his hopper in about 30 minutes.

I could go to paintshop pro and see if I could make a good description of it if you want.
