Nice ideas but the finned paintbal has been done. For mockup they just glued the fins on. Obviously this wasn't the most secure way of doing it but it was good enough for testing. Tests found the fins did provide more accuracy with a slight increase in range but the problem was not design. It was usefulness. Almost every field said no way to the fins because of the possibility of injury. Loading and robustness were not even addressed because of this one major hickup. If you can overcome that, then you may have something. Remember, while you can aim better with them that doesn't mean you'll have anything other than a head to shoot at sometimes. |
