Wobble/Rocking Trigger

trigger. Which will hopefully be... monday?

Well even though using the rocking trigger with an egrip would be less of a hassle, it would be much more expensive. Im trying to decide between the two, but I guess what comes down to it is what 98 I can get my hands on, as Im not using my 98 Custom, because then Im gunless if I screw up.

But hmmm I like the ebolt idea, because then I would seriously consider putting it on my old 98 custom, as it would save me from sawing off my grip AND buying an entire new 98. Problem is, haha, where do I get an ebolt? Finding one of those would require oh... more than just a little searching, oh my god.

Either way Im seriously considering doing this, I just need the resources. All I have is the wobble trigger, basically, and I havnt even bought that off the guy yet.



EDIT PS- Also, didnt one of you guys say that if I had a Model98 or Custom Pro I could use the spyder board and trigger, and I would only need to mill to fit the trigger? So really there would be no reason for an egrip at all then really, right?

Wait, itd be that easy? I like to remain mechanical for my tippys (this project as an exception), so are besides all of the milling, electronically I would only have to attach the Spyder's rocking trigger/frame to a tippy egrip? Doesnt seem right... Hmm...

Actually, I did it to one of my project 98s. The cool part is, that both spyder and tippmann use a sear tripping design for their electro grips. This is very convenient because the spyder solenoid has enough power to trip the tippmann sear. But this is not what your saying in this quote.

As far as just putting the rocking trigger on a tippmann egrip would be as easy as taking the rocker part off and attaching it to the egrip, then just adding another switch to the egrip board. This would act the same way as the spyder one.

But here in lies the problem, the 98c does not allow for sear tripping electronics, the sear is the wrong type. So you would have to remove the entire grip and add a new one. Now if you have a model 98 or a 98 custom pro, then it would be possible to just replace the electronics and the trigger.

The only mods is the removal of the original grip, milling the top of the new grip(spyders are more round, thus you would need to flatten it out), and the additions of some nuts into the body. You could tap some threads, but finding a good spot for the threads to go if very difficult.



Overall your best bet would be to remove the 98c grip through milling, then bolt on a spyder rocker trigger electronic grip. Not to mention all the preplanning involved. You dont want to make a bad cut.

Spyder e-triggers are junk sear trippers just like Tippmann e-grips. The only modification would be cutting off the old grip, tapping some holes to mount the new grip with, and possibly doing some mods to the sear/rear hammer to make it trip.

Just get a spyder rocking trigger frame, and then attach it to the 98. I just made it sound incredibly easy, when in fact in involves cutting off the old grip, then adding nuts to the receivers in just the right spots.

It can be done, it definatly wouldnt be epic though.

I saw a topic made like 2 years ago when I searched this but it was short and stupid.

I know how much people hate wobble triggers, but I like them and I dont do tourneys. I really hate double triggers for some reason, yet somehow the second time I ever touched a wobble trigger I hit somewhere around 20 to 25 bps, and it was pretty fun.

So would it be POSSIBLE to mod a wobble trigger to fit on a tippy, or more specifically a 98 custom? Really I think itd be pretty epic as tippys are nice and cheap yet capably fast, so I could go buy a cheap 98C and mod it for fun...
