I remember taking my A-5 to a speedball field.  Everyone else had Ions, Shockers, Impulses and an Angel or two.  I was looked upon as a novelty.  Heard a few comments like, "He's got an A-5!" and, "He won't last long..."  I was picked last the first game.  Every game after that I was picked no lower than 3rd.

Funny how people will judge your performance by the equipment you carry, isn't it?  First time I ever played speedball.  I felt pretty good.  I don't know if it was because I could compete just fine with my Tippy or the fact I was at least twice the age of most of the other players.

Little kids gravitate towards you with a better gun. Other than that not so much, because most people have them anyway.
Que pasa?

Tippy is usually a shortened term for just Tippmann. Like, I call my Tippmann Pro/Carbine a Tippy Pro/Carb. Short and cool sounding. :)

Wow. Some people need to learn electros.

First, Bob Long history: The man got his start working with Spyders. Then he figured out a way to make the mechanical Spyders electropneumatic. That means he implemented a pneumatic ram and a solenoid into a Spyder body that strikes the valve, so there's no need for a sear/hammer. As the Intimidator evolved, the milling grew fancier, and the electronics and pneumatics got more advance. But if you look at an Intimidator body, you can still see that it is very similar to a Spyder body.

And this is where the Spimmy comes in. A Spimmy is a Spyder with Intimidator (Timmy) internals, meaning a pneumatic ram and an LPR was fitted into a Spyder. Since the bodies are not very different, it is not a difficult conversion, and if done properly, you can get what appears to be a stock Spyder to shoot like a top-of-the-line Intimidator. One of these days, I'm probably gonna do that.

well, brought my droid out, and the 1st comments i heard were from people i knew, "cool you got a NXT", from other people i heard were, hey, whered you get that bodykit for the ion? and, this one i almost found insulting, was, hey, is that the new vibe from smart parts? and everyone treats me acording to whatever marker they think it is.

my idea is to get the best high ends or sickest markers out there and dress them up like cheap low ends, or get a low end and dress her up and see how it changes the way people act around you, do they gravitate towards your staging area or do they scream when they get shot by what they think is a 150 dollar gun.
