So... with those new Tiberius Arms "First Strike" rounds... does anyone else wanna buy an SMG68 and have like the coolest sniper gun ever? It might cost $11 for one magazine of 15 rounds... but the coolness factor would definately make it worth itLOL. And then if you had like... a night vision scope... It'd be all over! Too much pwnage! Just something to dream about...

robot-on MCB there are a bunch of people trying to get a mag system on smg68's and other markers, some talk of stick feeds out the side or top, some with plans of drum mags, some people have pics that look very promising, Ill post the link if I can find it.
I do Think that there is a need for more accurate projectiles for paintball, but I have several concerns with these rounds. For one, right now youd only be able to use them in  tiberius marker until someone made something custom or tibby let others make mag's for their markers that would be able to load these suckers. the problem is, thats going against the entire paintball industry, everything is based around round paintballs loading in from a hopper. Another is price, as you said, its probably going to be about 11 bucks for a 15 shot mag. Now, I can get a bag of 500 paintballs for about that(depending on the feild) and I really think I have a better chance of taking out a lot more people with 500 rounds than 15, even If I was confident I would hit a target with every single shot using the Tibby rounds.
another thing is pain factor, have you got shot by one of these yet? They hold there velocity for longer, we did some testing at a local feild, at 30 feet being shot by a paintball and the 1st strike rounds, the 1st strike rounds definatly hurt a lot more, at 50 same thing, 100 same thing. Blood welts all the time on skin, didnt break skin with paintballs, through a jersey and undershirt some welts from the 1st strike. Now, more experienced players wont mind the increased pain factor because you do get awesome accuracy and distance(really awesome) but you take that to a walk on game, shoot a little kid from 20 ft, you just ruined there day, good job. Oh, and we picked up the rounds later, and bits of the tail were Very sharp, you can scratch yourself fairly easily if not careful, and I know everytime I play rec theres some kids squishing paintballs in there hands, they get cut and your just ruined there day again.

the guy- nope, these are not like the other fins that came out a while ago, they are actuall rounds made like that, the back fins are not attached afterwards but during the manufacturing(from what I know). They are about the same weight as a normal paintball(3grams). This is important because they have had other rounds with odd shapes or fins that have failed due to wieght or the problem of cutting people on impact from sharp fins. These rounds are based off of the fn203 rounds(I believe) which didnt take off in paintball because they were much heavier and due to that they hit much harder(think ballistics/phycis add weight to an object and it will go farther/straighter, so adding a fair amount of weight means a greater impact) these rounds would hit hard and thus werent used in paintball.
genesis, welcome to the forum, I think a thread in the new players forum would be best to answer your questions.
