Build yourself a wooden box out of plywood. Leave one side open. It should keep MOST of the shells in one place.

Run with the empty box idea but hang a pair of towels inside it as the actual target. If you leave the bottom of the towels unattached they should absorb most of the impact so you only get minimal breakage. (And if you're feeling cheap and don't mind the possibility of having to clean your marker you can reuse some of the paintballs as well.)

Or you could get the re-balls and just keep re using those. A little expensive at first, but if you make a box with towels hanging inside then you shouldn't lose them. It would be cheaper than buying case after case of paint to target shoot.

You probably shouldn't provide answers without reading the original post. ". . . just about anything" does not necessarily meet the clean up requirements mentioned.

My friend had an old cooler so we just lined it with a tarp and shot at it across the yard.

The best thing i find to shoot at is an emergency road cone. Can be had for cheap and can just spray them out with the hose being their plastic and all.

Gasdrinker,
This thread was four months dead; the original poster has probably solved his issue by now. Please don't bump old threads. |

I like gas drinker's idea alot though. Clean-up would be a chince. Just prop it up on the side and fill with water. Or with reballs, just remove the towel and use it like a funnel to return to the pod.
Now I just have to jack one from work. Edited by God - 19 November 2009 at 11:27pm |

Since no one else mentioned them, the v-balls work pretty well for me. You get something like 100 fuzzy balls and a "harsh side" target to shoot them at. If you're just gun tech-ing or goofing off in the house, its pretty good.
