Last year I had to retire one of my HPA cylinders because it failed hydrotesting.  The regulator is still good.  I've been searching for a new 3000psi HPA cylinder without a regulator.  Can anyone point me in a direction where I can buy one brand new?  Google has either failed me or I just don't know what to look for.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Aluminum or CF wrapped? Aluminum tanks are so cheap right now, it almost doesnt make sense to do anything but buy a complete set up. Sell the reg on one of the PB sites and use the money to get a new set up. I havent seen many 3k CF tanks these days.

Was looking for a CF.  I do have to agree that there are a lot of aluminum tanks out there for reasonable prices.  Some CF 68/4500s are going for less than $150, but their regulators look/sound cheap.

What sort of reg do you have? If I was buying new, I would probably go with Ninja. Their customer service seems top notch and they listen to what players want. Also, most of their regs can be shimmed for high, med, or low pressure and they have a new collar system that allows you to swivel the reg so the fill nipple/gauges arent digging into your wrist.

I have to admit, I have an old Crossfire reg on a 48/3k tank and I LOVE that reg. Not sure of the output, but it is the only reg that I have besides my Ninja SHP that will consistently allow me to RT my Mags, I dont blame you for wanting to keep it.  I'll keep my eyes open if I see any CF 3k tanks.

If I was more of a betting man, I'd guess the setting would be between 800-850psi.  I've read that most RT or X-valved 'mags work better at pressures at or around 1000psi.  If you are getting good Reactive Trigger performance on a static HP valve, more power to you!

Probably. It wont allow me to rip constant ropes of paint or anything, but I can consistantly get decent bursts from it.  The SHP reg that I have will actually put it into full auto RT mode.
