Hey guys I just bought a used 2002 bob long dragon intimidator and I am a rookie when it comes to bob long guns, I mainly use a mini and a 98 custom. I have done some reading on the manual and pbn about them and I am unsure what exactly the one I bought will come with, mainly I am not sure what kind of upgrades I can buy for a 2002 dragon. That and depending on if he sends it with a pressure tester or not I am unsure which one to buy online. I haven't found one that says its for older intimidators yet. I know what I bought will come with an upgraded barrel, a volumizer/expansion chamber and an upgraded feedneck and trigger. Will post pictures once it arrives.

Timmies are pretty straight forward and there's not a whole lot you need to keep them running well. They basically don't need anything in the way of upgrades other than cosmetic features (feed necks and the like) volumetric upgrades (which you will already have) and accuracy (barrels) They're a good older electro to run with, and make great backup-markers to the newer electros. I can see if Shorty still has a pressure test kit since he had an older Timmy.

Thanks for the reply and oh okay that's good to know, yeah after thinking about it I figured the guy I bought it from seems to have upgraded it for the most part already so in that respect I should be fine. I'm mainly just curious about upkeep and the possible lack of a pressure tester. I know I read through the manual online and the one thing that confuses me is the fact that it doesn't really specify a preferred air system to use. It tells you how to make either C02 or HPA work and what things you should use for both, but like If I plan on using my ninja hpa tank that I have lowered the output pressure on will it work fine? I do have a just normal output pressure HPA tank as well so I guess I can try both and see which one seems to work better. So for the volumizer is it mainly only for when your using C02? That's what I gathered from the manual but would it benefit from using it with hpa as well?

The volumizer is actually to increase the valve chamber volume which allows the marker to run at lower pressures. Lower pressure requires more volume of air to flow to accelerate the paintball to the desired speed vs higher pressures.

I've never seen anyone successfully run a Timmy on C02 without either using a remote or anti-siphon bottle btw.

Oh okay thank you and yeah I don't plan on using C02 anyways but good to know. I will have to see what he has installed on the marker once it shows up because he said he will have it all chronographed in and stuff so it should be ready to just go. I will have to read through the manual again a couple of times I think once it shows up.

So It arrived today and I still have to read through the manuals but I just tried to shoot it and It wouldn't shoot balls. The bolt is cycling but it wont actually shoot the balls just roll out the barrel. I'm hoping it is just because I was using my hpa tank with a 450psi output pressure. I will be getting my 850psi empire tank filled in a few days and hopefully it will work fine with that tank.

Nice! I'd think you'd have better than just roll-out with a 450psi input pressure, but I could be wrong. CP low-rise QR feedneck is definitely a plus, and those CP barrels are great on those things.

Thanks yeah I did some looking around on pbn and took some of their advice and tips and got it working now, I need to take it all apart and grease it and see if any o rings need replacing. I got it shooting now just still has some minor issues but I'm hoping the cleaning will fix that. Sorry for the terrible quality pictures haha my phones camera kinda sucks.
