Its proble been done a million times before, but this one is different.Insted of using gas,i used springs. It took a couple of tries to figure out where to  put them and what brand. It will shoot about 50 ft on a good lanch.

no it wouldn't. a Spring loaded shot wouldn;t travel any further than about 5ft. Unless you had extrremey high tension springs, then it would take several people to reload.

You need something that is capable of flexable discharge.  Like sergical tubing (that works well I made a water baloon launcher w/ it)

If you want a spring operated gun that will shoot 50+feet, you will need a VERY strong spring. In turn you will need a gear-reduction system thqat increases torque so you can crank a shaft to reset the gear, and you will then need a "sear" to catch the sring, and a trigger that will releat the sear.

I doubt any makings of this paint rocket launcher. Theres no way it could be done with springs by one person.

Rusty is a complete goon and always has been. Do not waste your money on a set of his plans when you can sit down and figure it out yourself, granted you're not a complete moron.

And yes...the rocket idea has been done...by me at least two years ago. My design uses model rockets to boost baloon rounds. I posted the complete design along with simulation data to proove the idea was safe and usuable.

No field or event will ever let me use it though...darn insurance nazis.

i saw a rocket launcher that was made by nerf or something like that. it shot a big foam rocket about 100-150 ft. the spring was really heavy duty but all u needed to do was flip a lever a few times. it would be cool to glue a few paintballs to the tip of the rocket.
show initiative, determination. PROUD of ya!   broken arrow
