i have a tippmann 98 custom with the only upgrade being a 14' J & J ceramic. i play woodsball now but im going to start going to a paintball field sometimes that plays speedball and woodsball. what would be a good but inexpensive gun for both types of play. and one that can operate co2 because i dont want to spend 100 dollars on a tank.

You can upgrade the tippmann to play both. I personally use a 98 custom with a flatline barrel. It works for me for both kinds of play.

A good marker, for any type of play, is one with which you are comfortable playing.

Exactly. I feel pretty good taking on guys with Shockers and 'timmys at my local field, because I feel comfortable with my gun and skills. That's what you want-the gun can take you a certain length(in some cases, a long way), but it's more about how you feel playing, mentally and physically.
