Great big fire.....

Last night, just as I was getting off the phone, the scanner goes off for a neighboring fire company to respond to a 'possible structure fire'

within 10 minutes, a total of five fire companies had been scrambled to a 3 story inn that was fully involved. They called us to stand by so I drove the 5 miles to the fire house, waiting to be dispatched to the scene....but no such luck. We sat there for 3 hours drinking coffee and waiting to go to the biggest fire in the area in years. I've never been to a structure fire so I kind of wanted to go, not just hang out waiting. They ended up losing the building, completely. There's nothing left of this  and I didn't get to see a thing.
