For about 2 weeks now, my gun has been shooting twice when I only pull
the trigger once. But only one ball comes out...At first I thought my
sear was messed up. Nope it is fine. Then I went to the tippmann
website and found an easy trouble shoot that answered why. I checked
the sear, rear bolt, and its o-rings...still good.. Not sure if my
vavle is bad or anything but im pretty sure its not...the gun is about
4 months new...please help ive been trying to figure this out for a
long time now....

Is the ball latch still in the gun? Are you using co2 or HPA? You can also try oiling the gun and cleaning it up.

Oil: Put a drop or two on the rear bolt (hammer) "O" ring. A drop on the forward bolt front "O" ring and a drop on the power tube where the forward bolt slides back and forth. You should also oil the inside of the power valve. There is some concern about keeping oil contamination away from HPA tank, so take some care at this point. When using CO2 there was little concern about squirting 5 or 6 drops of oil into the air flow hole in the ASA...then installing the tank and firing the marker 10/15 times to distribute the oil...because CO2 does not support combustion. If you do that with an HPA tank the tank's valve could become contaminated with oil. High pressure air and oil present some hazzard of explosion. Though a minor fear, the hazzard does exist. Turn the marker so the ASA is pointing upward so you can drop 3 or 4 drops of oil into the small feed hole. Wipe out any excess oil from the inside of the ASA. With the ASA still pointed up so the oil runs into the air line, install the tank. Keeping the muzzel pointed down fire the marker 10/15 times (with no barrel installed...don't need oil in the barrel). Remove the tank and wipe the nozzel with a clean cloth to remove any oil. Wipe, again, the inside of the ASA. Wipe any excess oil from the chamber area of the marker. Install the barrel and you are ready to go. |
